Cobus Smit and his family’s vision of a house on a hill, overlooking grazing buffalo on the South African plains, lead to the establishment of the game farm, Nahla Safaris. The family decided in 2017 to share this dream with the world and Nahla Safari Outfitters and the Luxury Country House was established. The family’s love of wildlife and South Africa is evident in every detail. Nahla means “a drink of water”, and after a long day in the bush, the luxury country house accommodation is a welcome oasis. This exclusive country house is situated on a hilltop with a breathtaking view of the bush and the wildlife. With beautiful décor and amenities, the six en-suite rooms offer a marvellous ambiance.

The self-catering six-sleeper bush camp is the perfect setting for a breakaway weekend for the whole family or a hunting trip with friends.
Wine and dine
You can enjoy breakfast and lunch at the country house, while dinner is served at both the main restaurant and the look-out lapa. Guests can complement their food with a selection of fine South African wines.
Nahla’s restaurant is well situated with a view of the bushveld and the African sunset. You can enjoy food specially prepared by the in-house chef. There is a variety of local and seasonal dishes to choose from.
