Goeie môre to Y’all in Dallas Texas- 2020 Dallas Safari Club Convention (DSC)
With 102 Hunting Outfitters from Southern Africa exhibiting at the 2020 DCS convention in Dallas Texas, chances are you will hear 300+ people at the convention speaking Afrikaans to each other. The Southern African Hunting Outfitters (South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique and Zimbabwe) compete with 347 Outfitters offering hunting and fishing safaris in the Canada, USA, South America, Europe, Russia, Asia, Australia, New Zeeland, and of course other African countries such as Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda, Benin, Cameroon, and Congo.
A little-known fact is that there are over 400 Outfitters on a waiting list to attend the convention, and DSC vets every outfitter exhibiting at the show. Thereby, should any DSC member have a problem after booking a hunt with an outfitter from the show, DSC will intervene on the member’s behalf, giving DSC members the confidence to book, knowing they will have an experience of a lifetime with the Outfitter.
Africa’s Sportsman Magazine, sister publication of WILD&JAG/GAME&HUNT has the same confidence in it advertisers, thereby supporting them at the show providing on site coverage via posts and videos on their Africa’s Sportsman Channel Facebook Page. After the Convention, the printed and online Africa’s Sportsman Magazine will feature articles on the newest and most exciting things the magazine has found at the Convention.
The Africa’s Sportsman Magazine was not at the convention to only support its advertisers, but also to support the Professional Hunters Association of South Africa, who not only support their members exhibiting at the convention, but they themselves promote South Africa as a destination of choice for the hunters attending.

Mr Matibe, Chief Director: Biodiversity, Dept of Environmental Affairs South Africa, presented an interesting presentation during a seminar at the Convention. It is heartwarming to see the commitment from the South African government’s side.
Our next report from the USA will be from the Houston Safari Club Convention
